LMFT, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Who Am I?
Hello - I am Rebecca Henderson. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. With over 20 years of experience, I approach therapy with a simple but powerful belief: “You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them” (Maya Angelou). My work is grounded in evidence-based practices and guided by compassion, authenticity, and respect. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to be yourself—without judgment—and supported as you rediscover your strengths and sense of direction. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just getting through each day, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to stay in that place. I take a direct, supportive, and practical approach to help you move from “just surviving” to truly thriving. Together, we’ll focus on identifying what’s getting in the way and building realistic, meaningful strategies for change.
I love working with:

-
Children and adolescents (ages 7-17) as they navigate their school, family, and social lives
-
Young adults (ages 18- 25) as they explore who they are and who they are becoming
-
Individuals who are law enforcement/first responders/military
-
Individuals with anxiety, depression, PTSD
Some of my favorite approaches include:
I take an eclectic approach to therapy and use both traditional and experiential activities in session. Whether it be providing a place to talk and process or using art or music as the medium, it is about meeting you where you are at, working at the pace and means that supports change for you. No matter what you’ve been through, your experiences do not define your worth. You have value, and you have the ability to shape the next chapter of your life. I’m here to help you do that - at your pace, in your words, in meaningful ways to fit your life.
