In 2017-2019, however, she served as a School Counselor at an NK-12 grade International School in Shanghai, China where she counseled students and families from over 60 different countries.  Marella also has years of experience working with children who struggle with Learning Differences and gains much pleasure from helping them learn more about their strengths while assisting them in their hopes to attain success in school.  She also works with parents who seek to collaborate with their child's school and teachers. 

 

Pre-pandemic she traveled around VA and NC school systems with the Cameron Gallagher Foundation in order to bring awareness to teenagers regarding Mental Health needs. She believes that childhood Mental Health is as important as their physical health and hopes to help children grow and adjust well in today's ever changing world.
